Settings primarily consist of three sections: Registering New Fingerprints, Deleting All Fingerprints, and System Initialization (Factory Reset).
I. Registering New Fingerprints
This is the most crucial step, enabling your family members or yourself to unlock the device using fingerprints.
Detailed Steps:
Enter Registration Mode:
Press and hold your finger on the fingerprint recognition area without releasing.
Wait for the indicator light to flash green three times consecutively.
Immediately remove your finger after the third green light.
The indicator light will then turn blue, confirming successful entry into fingerprint registration mode.
Enroll Fingerprint (Repeat 2-3 times):
With the blue light on, place the finger you wish to register back onto the fingerprint recognition area.
When you hear a prompt or feel a vibration, and the green light flashes once, remove your finger.
Repeat this “place-scan-remove” action 2 to 3 times until the system captures sufficient fingerprint data.
Registration Successful:
After repeating the fingerprint entry enough times, the indicator light will remain solid green for 2 seconds.
This indicates that fingerprint registration has been successful!
Adding More Fingerprints:
After successfully registering one fingerprint, the system automatically prepares to register the next. Simply repeat Steps 2 and 3 to continue adding fingerprints. Up to 10 fingerprints can be supported.
Flowchart:
Long press → Green light flashes three times → Blue light illuminates → (Place finger → Green light flashes once → Remove finger) x 2-3 times → Green light stays on for 2 seconds → Success!
II. Deleting All Fingerprints
If you wish to clear all registered fingerprints (e.g., when moving, renting out the property, or forgetting which fingerprints were registered), follow these steps.
Important: This action will delete all enrolled fingerprints. Individual fingerprints cannot be deleted separately.
Detailed Steps:
Locate and insert the electronic key (typically a small USB-like device).
With the electronic key inserted, place any finger (registered or unregistered) on the fingerprint sensor.
Wait for the indicator light to show a steady green light for 2 seconds.
This confirms all fingerprints have been successfully deleted. The lock returns to factory settings (i.e., any fingerprint can unlock it).
III. System Initialization (Restore Factory Settings)
This operation functions similarly to “Delete All Fingerprints,” clearing the fingerprint database to restore the lock to its initial state.
Detailed Steps:
Perform the initialization operation as per the instructions (refer to the full manual for specific trigger actions, typically involving a long press of a button or using the electronic key).
After the operation, the indicator light will flash red.
At this point, remove your finger to confirm successful initialization.
Important Notes
Safety First: In factory settings, any fingerprint can unlock the lock. Therefore, before first use, you must register your own fingerprints. It is recommended to register at least three reliable fingerprints.
Fingerprint Registration Tips: When registering fingerprints, use the flat area of your finger and keep it dry and clean to improve recognition success rates.
Light Indicator Interpretation:
Red light on during registration: Indicates registration failure or the fingerprint database is full (already stores 10 fingerprints). To add new fingerprints, delete some or all existing ones first.
Red light flashes once during unlocking: Fingerprint mismatch or recognition error.
Red light flashes three times during unlocking: Low battery power. Replace batteries promptly.
